Ever felt an inexplicable urge to enquire for answers from those who have taken the test you have yet to take? Have you ever wondered whether you should take up this route of depravity? Just so that you could earn accolades and recognition though you know it’s done illicitly?

Well, after living for 16 years, I’ve observed that an average person cheats in 2 out of 5 of his tests and major exams. The tendency to cheat for major examinations is indisputably higher due to the larger degree of marks allocation for the final year report card.

No doubt you may have earned yourself respect and popularity with these results worth accolades that you’ve achieved, but what for? I remember stressing how inconsequential pride is when you enter our society – a representative term of a place imbued in avarice.


The most astonishing fact is that inept people are getting what they do not deserve because of how deft and adept they are at gathering answers for their upcoming tests or exams.

I know of people who cheat for the recent SPA examinations and seriously, I do not see the point of taking the examination if it’s not a test of your own capabilities, but of others.

The definition of examination is “a test of a student's knowledge or skill in a particular subject which results in a qualification if the student is successful”

Furthermore, what happened to lifelong learning and the fervour to learn? We enroll in educational institution to equip ourselves with essential skills to contribute to our economy and knowledge for our working life.

The moral of the story is, we must not condescend ourselves to cheating just so as to earn something we rightfully do not deserve.

And, don't you even have an iota of scruple?
